The First Lady
Sister
LaeLana (Young) Booker, the only girl and sibling of two brothers (Royce
and Darius deceased), grew up in Milan, Michigan attending the Milan
area schools where she graduated with honors from in 1996. Sister
LaeLana Booker was a faithful member of Bethlehem Temple Church of
Milan, Michigan with her mother (Sis. Deborah Young) and brothers under
the Pastoralship of Elder Dewey Eubanks, Sr., where she was baptized in
the Name of Jesus at an early age and received the gift of the Holy
Ghost as a teenager in 1997. Sister LaeLana Booker was a faithful worker
at her home church working in any capacity necessary; as a Sunday School
Teacher; Assistant Secretary; a Panelist for Women’s Conference; and
worker in the kitchen. She cleaned the church with her family faithfully
on a weekly basis.
In her early years she learned the work of a Missionary while assisting with the needs and companionship of her great grandmother. As a young teen she frequently became her grandmother’s (Nat’l. Evang. Annabella Cooper) traveling partner during countless speaking engagements and Apostolic Assemblies of Christ meetings and conventions.
In July 1998 Sister LaeLana made her move to the city of Lexington with her mother and youngest brother, making her new church home at Greater Soul Deliverance Tabernacle under the leadership of the late Honorable Bishop Lucian D. Booker, Sr. On March 13, 1999 Sister Booker married then Deacon Lucian D. Booker, Jr. and now parent together three lovely children (NaShayla, Shannon and Lucian "Tre'", III). Learning to deal with much from the on-set, Sister Booker was confronted with the death of her youngest brother (Darius) only 4-days after her marriage, only be followed by the loss of Elder Booker’s oldest sister (Sherry Jean) the following year. During her marriage to Elder Booker, Sister Booker has been right there by his side to assist during his work with the Youth and Young Adults, Soul Mission Cell Ministry, the Praise Team, his singing group Deliverance, the choir, and both the Youth and Marriage Retreats. Not to mention faithfully assisting her husband during the illness of his father Bishop Booker, no matter the chore, even if it meant managing their restaurant in his absence.
Today, she is the Young Adult leader, where her teachings and ideas have inspired and rejuvenated a new generation of young adults.
This type of dedication is optimum for a First Lady and has been well proven in both her service to God and the devotion to her husband and family.
